As a trusted travel agent who plans complex, multicentre itineraries every day I know how to include the best stopover in your itinerary to take your holiday to WOW mode. You need to consider the flight route, schedule and budget in order to make the most of your holiday time, but there is the perfect stopover destination for everyone.
Is a stopover worth it?
Almost always yes. Direct flights from A to B are typically more expensive than flying indirect, so it works as a great opportunity to explore an extra destination and make the most of the indirect routing.

How to choose a stopover?
This will almost always depend on the route you are using and where your final destination is that you want to go. Where you stopover will depend for instance, if you want a week relaxing in the Maldives you could stop in Doha or even combine with a tour of Sri Lanka/India. If you are heading to Australia or New Zealand then a lot of clients enjoy a stop in Asia, perhaps Singapore or Hong Kong. And for clients heading the Caribbean a mini stop somewhere like New York works really well.
Where is the most popular stopover?
For my clients, it tends to be either the Middle East and/or South-East Asia and combining a city like Singapore with a cultural and beach break somewhere else in the region.
I love working on these types of itineraries so please do get in touch to discuss your plans for stopover holidays and see how I can help you.
